Visit to Pitt Rivers Museum - Dagger from Pakistan

"Carved jade hilt and decorated blade with a slightly thickened tip. The wooden scabbard is covered in red velvet with gilt mounds. Made before 1902"

The blade is decorated in carved and polished patterns. What I found very interesting was the casing as some of the velvet had worn off over time intricatley shows different layers and textures of the material and the wooden surface emerging from underneath the velvet.
